Free workshop offers a Medicaid Planning Survival Guide
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County is once again partnering with Corning attorney Patrick J. Roth, Esq. CPA, for a free informational workshop on estate planning. This session, entitled Medicaid Planning Servival Guide, will be held Monday, February 27 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Hornell Senior Center, Broadway Mall, Hornell.
The class will be offered again on May 24 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Addison Library.
The workshop will explain what you need to know about the new Medicaid law so you can plan to protect yourself, your loved ones and your estate. Planning for your long-term care is more critical today than it ever has been, and the pitfalls inherent are numerous.
- Learn critical information that could help you avoid those common planning pitfalls.
- Learn about various types of care available and what this care costs.
- Discover the basic rules for Medicaid eligibility for married couples and single individuals.
- Learn the most current techniques for protecting your hard earned assets.
- Learn to spot common long-term care planning myths so they don't interfere with your plan.

The workshop will be offered from 1:00- 3:00 p.m.

April 26, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Dormann Library in Bath
June 13, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Southeast Stueben County Librfary in Corning.
